Song Joong-ki shocked fans in January when he announced his marriage to Katy and revealed that they are expecting their first child together. Now, the actor Song Joong-ki And Katy Louise Saunders welcomed their first kid, a baby boy. The actor also took to his own fancafé to personally share the wonderful news with his admirers, accompanied by a lovely shot of his youngster grasping his finger. Song Joong-ki revealed that he and Katy welcomed their child in Italy, his wife’s home country, adding that both the mother and child are healthy.

Hello, my name is Joong Ki.
I’m curious how all of you are doing.
As you are probably aware, I recently completed production for the film “My Name Is Loh Kiwan” in Hungary, and I also had the honor of visiting the Cannes Film Festival for the film “Hopeless.” All of the film festival moments still feel like a dream to me; that’s how joyfully I’ve been spending my days.
I came here today to greet you because I have another piece of news that feels surreal, and I wanted to be the first to tell you.
I’m in italy right now.
We happened to have our baby here, in my wife’s birthplace of Rome. It’s a healthy son… and both the baby and his mother are doing well. I am taking care of my family very gladly and gratefully, since we welcomed [our child] in good health and joy.
I believe [our son] is the most valuable gift that has come our way as a married couple whose lifelong desire has been to build a happy family.
And I believe that such a beautiful day has come as a result of the many people who have supported us. Thank you very much.
I’ll always be grateful to the Ki Aile [Song Joong Ki’s supporters] for their unwavering affection, and I, Joong Ki, will truly wish you great joy in all of your lives as well.
