In a recent interview, Bhumi Pednekar described about her intimate scenes in Lust Stories and she also revealed how nervous she felt before filming a “full throttle” sequence in a crowded environment.. ‘Lust Stories’ the short fim starred Neil Bhoopalam and Bhumi under the direction of Zoya Akhtar.
Lust Stories is a collection, includes four distinct stories written by Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee, and Karan Johar. In it, Bhumi played a housekeeper who maintained a complicated connection with her boss, including a sexual one.
Bhumi recently told Bollywood Hungama, “When I started Lust Stories, I was worried. I remember recording of an intimate sequence with Neil. It was a “full throttle” orgasm, but I was the intimacy coordinator at the time, so we didn’t have that. But Zoya, with the tact with which she guided Neil and I through it—she said it’s not about “you are a lady and you should feel comfortable when a male co-star has to”—made me and Neil feel at ease.
The actress, however, felt uncomfortable because this was her most exposed moment in the packed room. Bhumi is dressed simply because they have protection, but Neil and Bhumi still had to get down and discuss their boundaries. Since they were in the middle of a moment, the dialogue between the director and the performers was significant in and of itself.
Lust Stories starred Bhumi along with Kiara Advani, Radhika Apte, Vicky Kaushal, Manisha Koirala, and Neha Dhupia. When it was made accessible on Netflix in 2018, Bhumi’s performance received acclaim. Many people believed Dum Laga Ke Haisha was her huge break-out role after her well-received debut.
